Rigolets Mud Lake Run

Team Jo-Jo:

Big Charlie and his neighbor Big John, Big Charlie regulars of Team Jo-Jo’s Fishing Curriculum Sessions, had quite the adventure out of the Rigolets on their recent fishing trip. With Big Charlie’s boat on IR (injured reserve), the duo took to the water in Big John’s boat, heading toward the Mud Lake area, which has been known to hold some great fishing opportunities. Although they got a late start, their 3-hour trip was incredibly productive.

Armed with live shrimp and their favorite fishing lures, Big Charlie and Big John wasted no time getting to work. In no time, they hooked up with 42 Silverwonders, a mix of sizes, with 18 NMR (No Measurement Required) Silverwonders making it into the box. It’s always impressive when anglers are able to adapt, and that’s exactly what Big Charlie and Big John did when their live shrimp ran out. Instead of calling it a day, they switched to their lures, and the action continued. This transition to artificial baits is often a challenge for some, but Team Jo-Jo’s crew always comes prepared and knows how to capitalize on any situation.

It’s not just about the catch, though. Trips like these are what fishing is all about—good company, great fun, and of course, a tasty reward at the end of the day. With enough Silverwonders to enjoy a well-deserved fresh fish dinner, Big Charlie and Big John wrapped up the day on a high note, but from the sounds of it, they’ll be back on the water soon for another round.

Their success on this trip speaks to the knowledge and techniques shared within Team Jo-Jo’s Fishing Curriculum Sessions. Whether it’s knowing when and where to fish, using live bait or switching to lures, or simply the camaraderie that comes with being part of a seasoned fishing team, these experiences reflect why Team Jo-Jo continues to find success.

Great job to Big Charlie and Big John! This is another chapter in Team Jo-Jo’s ongoing story of successful trips and lasting memories.

Good Fishing
