TEAM JO-JO:

Got a call from Big Pablo, he looking to be first mate on a trip Saturday, you lucky says me Saturday open for a trip aboard the Baty Flat Sr. Says me it will be just you and I in search for the elusive Silverwonders and/or Redwarriors.

·      ONEOFTHEPACK’S REPERTOIRE OF TECHNIQUES / STRATEGIES

·         Be safe.

·         Have fun.

·         This is me daily therapy for ALL me aliments.

·         Put some run time on the Bay Flat Sr and the Yamaha Dream Machine

·         Gather Intel for future trips, and to share with fisherperson, (on Facebook) to help assist them in their choice of areas to fish, lures to use and presentation of same to the elusive Silverwonders.

·         Catch what catch can.

·         Learn what learn can.

·         Re-educate Big Pablo:

§  Route & paths

§  Team Jo-Jo spot # 21, 23, 6, 5, 15, 2A, & 17,  all of which he has fished many times.

§  Our Disney World know as Delacroix offerings

§  A cold day on the water

§  Bring home some fishes for Big Pablo family & friends

·         Find a spot  # with the seven fundamentals / criteria of catching:

1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (This criterion was definitely a challenge , (20 plus mph N.E. wind) for us, but we managed it very well, with our (2) Cajun anchors we keep the wind at our back as we fished the various Team Jo-Jo spot numbers. In some areas used one anchor, put Big Pablo right om the spot for his live shrimp attack on Redwarriors.)

2 MOVING WATER: (Early is falling very slowly, picked up as the day went along, but not many current lines to fish, high winds may have hidden them to the eye, but it be moving all day)

3 WATER CALRITY: (Another challenge of the day, a 2 to 2 minus water clarity on a scale of 2-7, this criterion is a hard one for me to defeat, as there was nowhere in our area with cleaner water. As in the past, present & future, clarity of water is me kryptonite, it just causes me to lose all me confidence in catching for the day)

4 HOLDING FISH:  (Spot 15 & 14, Redwarrior giving up its bounty for that wind battered shoreline.)

5 PATIENCES: (Needed some it was a very slow morning, without the live shrimp it would have been none slow morning, we did keep our interest trying to figure out the right combination to catch a few fishes.)

6 SKILL: (Live shrimp under cork, fishing wind battered shorelines)

7 LUCKS: (Having Big Pablo abord the Bay Flat Sr as he made all our action shots possible)

FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:

Oneofthepack did all he could do with the dirty water, 1st fish of the day a Bull Redwarrior , caught (3) more Ratworriers, that be it. Not of productions , no enough for honors today.

Big Pablo slows out of the gate, once we got to spot # 25, (his money spot) Big Pablo and live shrimp took over the action. At spot # 15 he was, on, on, on, on, on, on & on, finished the catching at spot # 14 adding (3) more Redwarriors to his credit. Big Pablo be fisherperson of the day for sure, he and his little friends known as lively shrimp.

SUGGESTIONS:

Don’t know how long it will take for water to clean up a little down in Delacroix, looked like river water more than just dirty water. Siphon is open dumping some river water and I am sure Mardi Gras pass is adding river water too to the areas in Team Jo-Jo’s zones 1, 2, & 3. Might want to fish Bayou Bienvenue, Lake B, and Lake P areas until it clears up.

Think live shrimp when you got out on your next trip.

PONDER OF THE DAY:

“Fishing life is a long lesson in humility.

Q&A:

What do you call a fish that likes to spar? A Box-a-fish!

TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:

Have a crew of first mates lined up:

·         December:

o   2nd Big John target Lake P (First time fishing with Team Jo-Jo)

o   3rd Big Jimmy target Delacroix

o   Big Rick target Delacroix, (First time fishing with Team Jo-Jo)

o   6th Big  Don (aka Perchwhisper) target Lake P

·         Crew that needs to call and get on list:

o   Big Denise

o   Big Penny

o   Big Charlie

o   Other fisherperson who attends Team Jo-Jo’s Fishing Curriculum Session on every 3rd Saturday of the month at Fatty’s Seafood non Gause Blvd in Slidell 11 AM.

Team Jo-Jo’s crew will be out and about looking for the elusive Silverwonders & Redwarriors, until then:

Good Fishing
