Big John had indicated he was going on a Monday trip with a friend, we suggested they come jump on board the Bay Flat Sr. I am not a fan of going out in two boats, so we all could fish off the Bay Flat Sr.

·      ONEOFTHEPACK’S REPERTOIRE OF TECHNIQUES / STRATEGIES

·         Be safe.

·         Have fun.

·         This is me daily therapy for ALL me aliments.

·         Put some run time on the Bay Flat Sr and the Yamaha Dream Machine

·         Gather Intel for future trips, and to share with fisherperson, (on Facebook) to help assist them in their choice of areas to fish, lures to use and presentation of same to the elusive Silverwonders.

·         Catch what catch can.

·         Learn what learn can.

·         Introduce Big John:

§  All that Delacroix has to offer for fishing & having a fun day on the water.

§  Team Jo-Jo’s:

o   Techniques

o   Presentation

o   Rods & reels that we use.

o   Lures

o   Spot numbers

o   Routes in & out

o   How many rods/rigs should u bring.

§  Big John had one, not good, when we switched from Tigh line to corks he had to ring, then we change back to tight line. Best to have (3) 1 rigged w/cork, 1 rigged w/  a ¼ oz. jig head, and 1 with a 3/8 oz jig head.

·         Convince Big John it was worth coming to Team Jo-Jo’s Fishing Curriculum Session!

·         Bring home some dinner for Big John and his family)

·         Find a spot  # with the seven fundamentals / criteria of catching:

1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (This was our challenge for the day, we stayed at spot 21, just about all day, wind was at our back, but very strong it be.)

2 MOVING WATER: (Plenty moving water all falling, water & wind fighting one another, created some real choppy waters to deal with.)

3 WATER CALRITY: (A 3 plus not bad, it was a 3 plus in all areas we fished.)

4 HOLDING FISH:  (Team Jo-Jo spot # 21 & 22)

5 PATIENCES: (At honey hole at 6”37, fish on at ^;42, it was a slow morning, but we waited them out. It  seems every time I called (3) cast rule we would catch one and make us stay. Me like conditions ,we had all (7) of the criteria of catching at this spot.)

6 SKILL: (Tight lining & Popping cork technique / presentation)

7 LUCKS: (Making right decision on where to fish, because me had spot 17, 51K, & 51 J running around in me head.)

Sopot # 21 (22)t, 22 (6)t, 60A, 60B, 60 (1)t, 61, 17, 2A, called it a day around 11 AM too much wind & current.

·         Lessons learned:

§  Little Lake can get rough.

§  Noted new landmarks to help me get around and cross Little Lake, both going out and coming back.

§  Tried some of our old fishing spot numbers nothing in them.

§  Team Jo-Jo spots:

o   # 21 hot spot today

o   #17 Silverwonders MIA

§  Grass was plentiful as it was going out with tide.

§  Tide fighting wind all day, not a good mix of conditions to be fishing with 22 plus mph wind.

·         Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.

FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:

Big John was a natural, catching his share of the Silverwonders, but not enough to get honors today, next time out me sure he will be in running for same.

Oneofthepack lead the croaker division & Redwarrior category, even had a few Silverwonders to his credit, but me to fell short.

As usual Big Rudy was on, on, on, on, on both tight lining and popping corks techniques / presentations, Big Rudy be fisherperson of the day.

SUGGESTIONS:

Windy days they be biting, “You got to go to know” Just do it!

PONDER OF THE DAY:

“We never dreamed about catching, we worked for it.”

Q&A:

What lure/s work best for you?

TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:

Getting ready, (Tuesday 09:33) to make a run to Lake P with Big Rudy, until then:

Good Fishing
