Delacroix journey

TEAM JO-JO:

Today, I had the pleasure of fishing with two mates: my regular fishing companion, Big Rudy, and a new mate, Big Roger, whom we met at Team Jo-Jo’s Fishing Curriculum Session last Saturday. During our gathering, we hit it off with Big Roger and decided that a fishing trip was in order to properly introduce him to the wonders of Delacroix.

We chose today, Thursday, May 23th, 2024, for our adventure, as the conditions seemed perfect for a productive day on the water. Our mission was not only to show Big Roger the best spots in Delacroix but also to hopefully catch a few Silverwonders and Redwarriors along the way. It was the ideal opportunity to share the beauty and excitement of Delacroix’s fishing grounds with a new friend.

The camaraderie and shared enthusiasm made the day special, and we looked forward to seeing what the waters would yield.

·         Find a spot  # with the seven fundamentals / criteria of catching:

1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (This be our challenge for the day, it be bad, and in a little different direction form our last time out, but it assisted us with the Oka River Troll technique, kept bugs off us, and kept us cool at times)

2 MOVING WATER: (Rising all day, tide & wind had us with a pretty strong current line to fish, water moving to fast for spot # 6)

3 WATER CALRITY: (Ares we in looed good 6 to a 7 plus, cannot get any better than that any day)

4 HOLDING FISH:  (Team Jo-Jo spot #6, 5, 14,15 ,2A, & spot # 9)

5 PATIENTS: (At honey hole at 6:21, 6:29 Big Roger in bring in first Silverwonders of the day, slow but we had action to keep us in the game / art of catching.)

6 SKILL: (Oak River troll technique, along with tight lining technique)

7 LUCKS: (Cathcing today lucks had a lot to do with it)

§  Team Jo-Jo spot # 9 holding fish, and water looked great with a great current line to set up on

·         Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.

FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:

Oneofthepack was a spectator, me caught a few but crew did it all.

Big Rudy as usual did his thing, had 2-3 doubles, caught biggest Silverwonders, caught biggest Redwarriors (2) of them, caught a drum,  and managed to fish with out getting all tangled up with Big Roger. However all his efforts for today fell a little short today, me think he came in a close second.

Big Roger caught first fish of the day., (extra points), brought in (2) drum, had (1) Redwarrior, had to delete few points for knocking Big  Rudy’s BIG Redwarrior of his line with net. But when it came o the Oak River Troll techniques, Big Roger was a natural, he had (6) in the boat before Big Rudy & Oneofthepack knew what happen. Oak River Troll success gave the honors today, Big Roger fisherperson of the day.

SUGGESTIONS:

Suggest live shrimp and / or dead shrimp be on board to help keep the action going, not that me would use it.

PONDER OF THE DAY:

This new fishing day has greeted us with no rules, unconditional opportunity. Do not dilute the power of this new day with hardship of yesterday. Greet this day the way it has greeted you, with open arms and endless possibility.

Q&A:

It’s “Treat Yourself” day. What impulsive tackle purchase are you making?

TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:

Nothing plan, nothing schedule, might just take a few days off form fishing……..not, Loveofthepack be gone all next week, be on lookout for first mates soon.

Good Fishing

Team Jo-Jo & Oneofthepack
