NEW ORLEANS PIPE TRADES
Summer is coming up and if you're looking for something new or for your graduating 18+ teens, make the best choice by going Union and learning a skilled trade!
The New Orleans Pipe Trades located at 2541 N Arnoult Rd, Metairie, LA 70002 is looking for people who would like to get into the trade of plumbing/pipefitting and welding. You start out with or without any knowledge and are trained on the job plus your apprentice schooling is paid for!
Starting pay is no less than $15 for Helpers (starting level). Apprentices earn raises 2x a year.
When you make the move from Helper to Apprentice, you will gain health & welfare with a copay cost of 80/20 for yourself, spouse and kids at NO extra cost for any of your family or yourself even if you get married later on or have kids later on they will still be covered at no additional cost to you. Total package is a MINIMUM of $24.11 paid by contractor and take home pay of $15 for a 1st year, 1st semester apprentice. Plus all those great benefits listed above!
3rd year Apprentices start to earn pension and 401k on top of the health & welfare after completion of 2nd year courses. Total package is a MINIMUM of $29.73 paid by contractor and $19.02 take home pay.
5th year Apprentices total package is a MINIMUM of $37.66 paid by contractors and a take home pay of $26.95. With the same benefits as before (pension, health & welfare, 401k and education).
Minimum of 40 hour work weeks Monday - Friday.
Overtime - If worked certain holidays are double time pay and Saturday/Sundays and anything over 40 hours are time and a half.
Applications and drug screens are done same day and as soon as your negative drug screen comes back we can get you placed with a contractor on a first come first serve basis. Please bring your Drivers License, Social Security Card/Birth Certificate, GED with grades, or Diploma and transcripts.
