Mission Objectives & Highlights:
✅ Monday Night Card Game:• Oneofthepack showed up empty-handed at the fish table, so .4 of a “C” note was won, now for new lures for redemption.
✅ Lake P Shake-Down Cruise:• Put Big Alex’s boat through the paces to ensure smooth operation and build confidence at the helm.• Everything ran great — Yamaha Dream Machine purred like a cat!
✅ Intro to Lake P for Big Alex:• Orientation tour around the iconic trestles and the surrounding fishing structure:

• Tactical demonstration of jigging technique and where Silverwonders like to stage.
✅ Fishing Results:• Boxed (2) NMR Silverwonders and (1) healthy flounder — dinner secured for the Alex family.
✅ Boat Logistics:• Dropped off trailer at Pointe.• Hauled Big Alex’s boat to Dave’s Mobile Outboard Service in Chalmette for 100-hour maintenance on the Yamaha Dream Machine:
External fuel filter installation
Fuel gauge replacement.
Ignition tumbler & key replacement
Engine control cable swap
Live well aerator replacement
Engine run test.
Full computer printout on engine diagnostics
✅ Lunch Stop:• Rocky & Carlos — Big Alex’s treat! (Food always tastes better when someone else is picking up the tab.)• Stuffed ourselves like a fish on falling tide.
✅ Evening Learning:• Attended CCA’s Angler Night Out — great insight and learning from experienced guides on how and where they fish. Always something new to pick up and apply on the water!
Trip Debrief:All objectives completed ✔️Fun had ✔️Fish caught ✔️Boat serviced ✔️Belly full ✔️Knowledge gained ✔️Back home by 7:30 PM — one for the memory books.
Looking forward to bringing Big Alex’s boat back to his condo, prepped and ready for more Lake P action.
