TEAM JO-JO:
We had ourselves a little “we’ll show you how it’s done” mission today.
Last Saturday, (8-2-25) Big Rudy, Big Mark, and Oneofthepack caught some reds, the crew of Big Hugh & Big Mike from Team Jo-Jo listened closely to our intel and game plan. They took that info, headed out Sunday (8-3-25) to the same “Disney World” zone we recommended… and didn’t get so much as a nibble. Not one. Not even a courtesy bump.
Now, that’s just not acceptable in our book. So, in true Oneofthepack fashion, I scheduled a remedial field trip for today, Sunday (8-10-25) — not to rub salt in the wound, but to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that it can be done and the Redwarriors are indeed out and about, ready to be invited to dinner… preferably on the half shell over a hot BBQ pit.
Armed with both first & second mates, we all jumped aboard the Bay Flat Sr before sunrise, with a plan, a purpose, and just a little swagger. Our mission:
· Head to the same exact zone that betrayed them last week.
· Work the tide, wind, and structure with precision.
· Prove of all that, in the right hands, Disney World delivers magic every time.
The morning started with that perfect combination of anticipation and a light breeze — the kind of weather that makes you think the fish can sense you’re coming. Rods were rigged, drags set, and eyes locked on the water for that first tell-tale swirl of a Redwarrior in feeding mode.
Let’s just say… the results will look mighty fine on a BBQ grill tonight.

§ Me felt me had crew no believers.
§ Water clarity looks good all over average a 3 plus.
§ Conditions where perfect, had to be a sure thing.
§ No such thing as a sure thing
§ Lures where not the fishes choice today, me got skunked.
§ New GPS broke, survived this trip, but feel next trip it will join Davey Jones locker for sure.
§ I just could not make it happen, MY BAD!!!!!
· Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Big Mike was on fire, dominating ,Gaff top, freshwater cats, & hard heads, even had a crab to his credit, but these efforts fell short for honor today.
Oneofthepack could not be stopped !!!!!!, because he never got started, me got SKUNKED, not one bite, not one tap, but learned a lot, no chance for honors today.
Now we have Big Hugh, start out with he brought the finger licking chicken for all to enjoy, had is fare share of catfish of all categories, lead the crab division, but his number one catch pf the fay was the Submarine, aka big ass drum.
SUGGESTIONS:
Don’t do what we did!!!!!!!
But “You got to go to know.”
PONDER OF THE DAY:
"The fish that is being chased does not tire."
Q&A:
Do fisherpersons have an obligation to help others or should fisherpersons be responsible for helping themselves?
TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:
Nothing planned, but that never stopped me before, until then:
Good Fishing
