TEAM JO-JO:
The Sunday crew consisted of none other than Big Hugh, who proudly serves as Team Jo-Jo’s resident herbalist, and Big Mike, Team Jo-Jo’s go-to IT expert, especially for coordinating all the tech needs during the Fishing Curriculum Sessions. Both of these key crew members are regulars at the meetings, so when the opportunity arose to finally get together for a fishing trip, it was a no-brainer.
Our original plan was for Big Hugh and Oneofthepack to mount an assault on Lake P’s trestles, a well-known stomping ground for Silverwonders. We had high hopes, especially after a previous trip there using the Lake P Troll technique, but despite our best efforts, we only managed to reel in one flounder. The result left us reconsidering our strategy. Instead of sticking to the same spot, we decided to shift gears, invite Big Mike along for the ride, and head out to the magical waters of Delacroix Island, which is basically our version of Disney World for fishing.
As is often the case with fishing trips, things didn’t go off without a hitch. I left my camera sitting on top of the truck hood—a rookie mistake—but not one that could ruin the trip. With no camera at the ready, I had to shoot the day’s footage on my cell phone. Apologies in advance for the mixed-up video! Even with the hiccup, though, the footage turned out alright, capturing a day filled with action, laughter, and plenty of fish tales.
The trip itself? Absolutely fantastic. Delacroix didn’t disappoint. The excitement of being on the water with both Big Hugh and Big Mike, two seasoned anglers and loyal Team Jo-Jo members, was just what we needed. We made memories, swapped stories, and had more than our fair share of fun. Whether we were reeling in fish or just enjoying the camaraderie that comes with a day on the water, this trip had everything we could ask for.
Even though we had to switch up our plans, the decision to head to Delacroix ended up being a blessing in disguise. It’s moments like these that remind us why we keep coming back to the water—each trip offers its own adventure, whether it's at Lake P or down in Delacroix. The crew, the fishing, and the fun we had made it one for the books!

1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (Wind not a factor at all today, got a little warm without any wind)
2 MOVING WATER: (Strange it be, it he seem to be slack all day, not much movement at all, this me think was our challenge today no water movement)
3 WATER CALRITY: (This criterion too was a challenge, 3 minus not looking good, but fish did not seem to mind.)
4 HOLDING FISH: (Team Jo-Jo spot # 59B)
5 PATIENCES: (Took 6 cast for 1st Silverwonders to hit boat, then slow until we made our way out to Lake Campo)
6 SKILL: (Popping cork technique / presentation)
7 LUCKS: (Finding some Silverwonders that wanted to come out and play, and that me cell phone could video trip. I would rather leave me rods & reels at dock instead of me camera)

FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Big Mike on the board first, had his share of Silverwonders, (1) Redwarrior, and lead in the catfish division., but efforts not enough to conquer honors today.
Big Hugh came in second in catfish division, got on a roll with the Silverwonders, but this effort too fell a little short for the honors today.
Oneofthepack was just Oneofthepack, but did enough to gain the honor today, so say the captain.
SUGGESTIONS:
Fishing is great, catching is getting better, and going to get a lot better in near future, “You got to go to know” so just do it!
PONDER OF THE DAY:
The reason we struggle with catching insecurity is because we compare us behind the scenes with everyone else’s highlight reel.
Q&A:
What’s a fishing belief that you hold with which many fisherpersons disagree?
TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:
Monday trip with Big Tom & Big Steve down top Delacroix abord the Bay Flat Sr for a fun day on the water.
Thursday trip with Big Rudy & Big Ronnie Delacroix way on BFS!
Good Fishing
Team Jo-Jo & Oneofthepack
