Shrimp / Fish in down in Delacroix

TEAM JO-JO:

Got another invite for an exciting fishing trip this Wednesday with none other than Big Rudy aboard his 21-foot Avid, powered by a 150 Yamaha Dream Machine. It’s a solid setup, and with Rudy at the helm, we’re in for a smooth ride. I'll be second mate on this adventure, with Big Ronnie as the first mate, so the crew is all set for action.

The mission is clear: the (3) Amigos are aiming high today, setting our sights on catching 45 trout and 12 Redwarriors. We’ll be running around the familiar waters of Delacroix, hunting for the elusive Silverwonders and Redwarriors. With years of experience between us, we’re confident we’ll find the productive spots, adjusting our tactics to the conditions as we go.

It's not just about the numbers — it’s about the thrill of the chase, the camaraderie, and the challenge that keeps us hooked every time we hit the water. Whether we’re tight lining, using cork rigs, or exploring deeper waters, we know that today’s conditions will dictate our strategy. The tides, winds, and water clarity will all come into play as we chart our course through Delacroix's marshes and bayous, searching for those prized catches.

This trip promises to be another memorable outing for the books, and if the Silverwonders and Redwarriors cooperate, we’ll be hauling in plenty of fish. Here's hoping we reach our goal and bring back stories and photos to share with the rest of Team Jo-Jo.

2 MOVING WATER: (Rising all day never did turn and fall, but we had a 0.0’ low tide change)

3 WATER CALRITY: (On average a 3 minus, still very fishable . catchable it be)

4 HOLDING FISH:  (Team Jo-Jo spot # 57 (13)t, 59B (32)t)

5 PATIENCES: (Me first cast a nice 14” Silverwonders, action was steady all morning till about 9:40, we left them biting wanted to try for Redwarriors)

FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:

Big Ron had his share of Silverwonders, but kept trying different lures / rigs, missed out on some of the action, got extra points for bringing peanut & jelly sandwich, but fell a little short for honors today.

Big Rudy as all Big Rudy this morning, but with tightline technique, his abilities were not the same as his cork abilities, it took awhile for him to resurrect his tight line skills, he lead in crab division, cat fish, and tied for Redwarrior category, but he to fell a little short for honors today.

Oneofthepack feeling great on this trip, no pressure / stress to make sure crew catches today, we in Big Rudy’s boat, me no feel like captain today. Me caught first Silverwonder, biggest Silverwonder, got on a roll (tightlining) Silverwonders, dominated croaker division, drum division, and tied the Redwarrior division, put on a exhibition on the tight line technique. Had not the crew study & copied me technique, it would have been a shut out for sure. Me be fisherperson of the day for today that is.

SUGGESTIONS:

Take note, shrimp are in bayou right by Sweetwater, Butterfly netters all up in bayou. This be a great sing because when shrimp on in, fish are in, especially the Silverwonders & Redwarriors. Gear up now is the time for fisherpersons of all ages to make their play and catch what catch can down in our Disney World known as Delacroix Island.

PONDER OF THE DAY:

“Catch less is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligent”

Q&A:

If it’s true that we are here to help other fisherpersons, then what exactly are the other fisherpersons here for?

TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:

The plan, plan is to bring Bay Flat Sr back down to Delacroix next week, will be looking for first mates, and crew with specialty of handling voice activated power poles, catching fish, cleaning fish, and taken all fish. Please apply on FB if you would like to jump on board the Bay Flat Sr, total cost hand shake & smile due in full weather we catch or not, until then:

Good Fishing
