Red day Delacroix way

TEAM JO-JO:

Big Rudy and Oneofthepack had enough of being off the water, so we planned a trip for today (Tuesday). Our plan was to assault the L&N bridge out of Rigolets, and we even texted Big Chas to see when the best time to fish it would be based on Tuesday’s tide times. We were all set to meet up at 2 PM at Rigolets Marina, heading out in Big Rudy’s Avid Bay boat for an evening trip to fish the tide change.

Then I got a text from Big Penny, saying, “4:30 tomorrow at Waffle House.” I texted her back, letting her know we were supposed to go Wednesday. She replied, “It’s supposed to be today, Tuesday.” I checked my texts, and sure enough, she was right.

I texted her back, asking her to stand by, then called Big Rudy to explain I had mixed up the dates. I asked if we could go to Delacroix on Tuesday instead of Rigolets, and he said, “No problem.” I texted Big Penny back and confirmed we were on for Tuesday, meeting at 4:30 at Waffle House in Oak Harbor.

4 HOLDING FISH:  (Team Jo-Jo Spot # 21 on map, never left until we ready to come home, left them biting)

5 PATIENTS: (Arrived at 06:41. Third cast Big Penny hooked up with BIG BOY, popped her line, took a few then it was on, on, on, wind pick up tide slow bites slow, then it was on, on, on. We left them biting at 9:20 AM)

6 SKILL: (Tight lining lures along bottom as lures moved along bottom left to right, bites where lite and had to pay attention for bites)

FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:

Big Penny hooked first BIG BOY, popped her line, next one popped her line, third one missed reeling in. She got one hooked and made it to the boat, caught some Big Boys, and did one hell of a net job for Oneofthepack & Big Rudy. All this action, and various tasks, (i.e. netting) took its toll on Big Penny, around 08:30 the activity & sun took its toll on her, and she feel a little short for today’s honors,

Oneofthepack brought first Redwarrior in boat, had me fun with the BIG BOYS, but me to was feeling the heat & sun, coupled with the activity had me in slow gear, not enough energy to get honors today.

Big Rudy was Big Rudy, once he located the strike zone, it was on, on, on, on for him. Like a machine they kept coming in one after another, with one being bigger than the other, Big Rudy once again fisherperson of the day.

SUGGESTIONS:

Me of the opinion that months with “R” in them area catching months, so with this month it is start of the catching season for Team Jo-Jo & Oneofthepack

If you want to catch fish, best you be on water fishing!

PONDER OF THE DAY:

There is a classic question! While some might argue that the skill of the fisherperson is what truly matters, others would say that the right lure can make all the difference. In reality, it's a bit of both—having a well-crafted lure can certainly increase your chances, but knowing how, when, and where to use it is what really sets a successful fisherperson apart. The lure is just one tool in a fisherperson's arsenal; it's the knowledge, experience, and adaptability that truly lead to success on the water. So, in essence, the fisherperson and the lure work hand-in-hand to create the magic of catching!

Q&A:

Can you fall asleep on day before trip?

TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:

Nothing plan, subject to change at any moment, until then:

Good Fishing
