Red day Delacroix way

TEAM JO-JO:

Today's journey was a bittersweet celebration. The crew, including Big Ronnie, Big Rudy, and Oneofthepack, embarked on a final fishing trip with Big Ronnie before he heads back to India for the hot season. We all knew that this trip was special, not just for the fishing, but for the camaraderie and the memories we would create.

We started early, with the sunrise casting a golden glow over the water, setting the perfect scene for our adventure. The fish were biting, and we managed to reel in a few impressive catches, but the highlight of the day was the time spent together, sharing stories and laughs.

Big Ronnie's absence will be felt deeply on our future trips. His enthusiasm and presence always add something extra to our outings. Although he will be thousands of miles away, we plan to keep him in the loop by sending plenty of pictures of our catches, making sure he doesn't miss out on the action.

As we wrapped up the day and headed back, there was a sense of fulfillment and a hint of sadness. We are already looking forward to mid-September when Big Ronnie will return, ready to join us once again on our fishing adventures. Until then, we'll keep the lines tight and the stories flowing, eagerly awaiting his return.

·         Catch & clean a Redwarriors for Daughterofthepack & family.

·         Find a spot  # with the seven fundamentals / criteria of catching:

1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (Not a factor not enough to concern us, plus it was a great wind direction for areas we be fishing)

2 MOVING WATER: (Tail end of a falling tide, (fish turned n at end) then turned and came in, bites where slow on incoming tide, but perfect it be)

3 WATER CALRITY: (A 3 plus, Point Fienne was a 7 plus looked real good, and spot 14 was 6 plus<that whole area had some really clean looking water in them)

4 HOLDING FISH:  (Team Jo-Jo spot # 21)

5 PATIENTS: (Needed some, got lost, got stuck, lost 60 minutes of prime time on falling tide, but once we got back on track it was on, on, on.)

6 SKILL: (Tight lining lures along bottom, both with single & tandem rigs, some tipped with live shrimp, that be Big Ronnie technique today.

7 LUCK: (Not getting to stuck and was able to get out and fish)

§  Tight lining they technique to use.

§  Fish up channel edge, let current move it along.

§  Tandem rigs technique / presentation works well with Redwarriors.

o   3/8 oz jig head  on bottom, ¼ oz. on bottom

o   Big Rudy ¼ oz. on bottom, 3/* on top????

o   Me single rig all day swapping for ¼ to 3/8 o ½ oz. tried to match current where lure is gliding along bottom bouncing off oysters.

§  Live shrimp a plus

§  No Silverwonders in areas, don’t know where they went.

§  Learn how to clean Redwarriors, see video

·         Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.

FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:

Big Ronnie drew first blood, and with live shrimp he had plenty action, hardheads, sheepshead, & Redwarriors. He caught the biggest Redwarriors, and eh only flounder, me think he would get the honors today as he be going back to Indiana and coming back in mid-September.

Big Rudy was on them with his rig, 1/4oz. jig head on bottom and 3/8 oz. jig head on top of his tandem rig, with Salt Strong Power Prawn on both jig heads. Caught a string ray, and a croaker to his credit, but he could not keep up with the live bait man for sure.

Oneofthepack has his fun, (3) Sting Rays, (1) catfish, (On lure), (2) BIG Redwarriors and a few other slot Redwarriors, but me to be no match for the live shrimp and Big Ronnie.

SUGGESTIONS:

Find deep moving water with bait all around, tightline up and down drop offs, fish current lines, and bring c=some live shrimp just in case they hard to attract.

PONDER OF THE DAY:

When the time is right, I the fish god will make it happen, so saithe her.

Q&A:

If you had to sum up the whole fishing  human species in 3 words, what would they be?

TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:

Nothing n the books, but have a lot of open days to go, now that Big Ronnie going to Indiana will have one more spot on the Bay Flat Sr available for other first mates, until then:

Good Fishing

Team Jo-Jo & Oneofthepack
