Team Jo-Jo Report: On the Hunt for Silverwonders
Team Jo-Jo’s Big Rudy was out and about Friday morning aboard his Avid, joined by his first mate Big Ron (aka Indian Ron). They were chasing some fresh intel picked up from a Facebook post — reports of NMR Silverwonders being caught using jerk baits along the long rocks near Breton Sound Marina.
Here's a quick trip breakdown:
🎣 Launch Point: Spoil Canal to MRGO
🧭 Direction: Headed South
🌊 Water Level: Around 5 ft
🚤 Conditions: Looked like the Italian Rodeo out there — boats lined up every 40-50 yards along the rocks, maybe even more crowded than the trestles!
🎯 Lure of Choice: Jerk baits
🐟 Catch:
15 Silverwonders (15"–17")
9 Miniwonders
🕙 Lines Out: Wrapped up fishing around 10:00 AM
Reminder: Team Jo-Jo’s Fishing Curriculum Session is Today!
Come on out and meet Big Rudy, Big Ron, and the rest of the crew who make Team Jo-Jo what it is — a passionate, dedicated group of anglers sharing knowledge, laughs, and plenty of fish tales.
🎣 Tight lines and good fishing!— Team Jo-Jo & Stanley Fink
