· Find a spot # with the seven fundamentals / criteria of catching:
1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (Tough day, but we used the wind to move us along the rocks while jerk bait fishing.)
2 MOVING WATER: (We had AM & mid -morning movement, on way out of locks when we came back in)
3 WATER CALRITY: (& plus cannot get any better, perfect it be)
4 HOLDING FISH: (MRGO rocks, ICW had a few, but not ready yet actual signs indicate it will not be long for big girls to show up)
5 PATIENCES: (In hot spot ay 7:28, 7:35 15” in boat, next cast 23” in boat, lots of action in AM.)
6 SKILL: (Jerk bait technique / presentation, then Lake P Troll technique / presentation.)
7 LUCKS: (We no get hit by lighting, it was bad for a while, but we in so decided to wait it out)

· Got to see Fishermen’s Friend tanks full of live shrimp, Big Tony not there he be back out getting more live shrimp for his crew of customers.
· Being on the water with one of the best fisherpersons me know that be Big Rudy.
· Lessons learned:
§ Surviving the rain, thunder & lighting storm, in it for 10 minutes, we all got wet.
§ Silverwonders still bite in the rain, especially the BIG girls.
§ Stick with Plan “A”, just make it happen.
§ Berkly Jerk baits work every dollar spent on them, the ones we have are $10 each.
§ Learned new presentation for jerk baits.
o Jerk, twitch, jerk, let sit then repeat action for lure.
o Jerk, let it sit for a good while, they would hit it while sitting in water column, this a new presentation for me.
o Best jerk bait color, white body with pink top
§ Big Girls in 9-10 feet of water
§ MRGO holding BIG girls.
§ ICW is not there yet but has all the signs of turning on soon.
§ Water clarity in both a strong seven plus
§ Birds diving all over Bayou Bievenue locks, on both sides of lock, inside Bayou Bienvenue and out in MRGO.
§ Had my depth finder today, needed it for sure.
§ Bay Flat Jr bilge pump works, (now that be a sign) thanks Big Hugh for hooking it up for me.
· Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Big Rudy captured the honors today , AGAIN, he dominated the Bass & white trout divisions, and after me up on him 2-0, he came alive slinging in one after another, no net for him, BIG girls being flipped in boat.
Oneofthepack got us started, me too did not use a net, flipped all the big girls in the boat, never lost a fish. We both concerned that lures would get all tangled up in net, rather lose a fish then have to deal with net and tangled lure.
SUGGESTIONS:
This be my second time fishing with jerk baits, this go around convince me they work, just need to work them correct, presentation/ action of lure particularly important. You fisherpersons might want to try it.
PONDER OF THE DAY:
"Some men would rather be photographed with their fish than with their wives."
Q&A:
What does a fish call a successful date? Catch of the day!
TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:
Big John will be doing a repeat trip, he mentions he would ,like to go again at our Team Jo-Jo Fishing Curriculum Session last Saturday, so we picked this Saturday for trip, not sure where we go, weather will dictate our destination for sure, until then.
Good Fishing
