TEAM JO-JO:
Three-Day Streak – Lake P Mission – Thursday, 4-17-25
Another opportunity came knocking today, and we weren’t about to let it slip by. Big Ron and Oneofthepack have been putting a few in the box lately, so we figured—why not go three days in a row? You know what they say:“Strike the iron while it’s hot”… or in our case, fish while they’re biting!
With First Mate Big Ron aboard, the Bay Flat Jr ready to roll, and the Yamaha Nightmare Machine firing strong on all 2 cylinders—what more can you really ask for in life?
Conditions looked decent enough to make a run, and with the recent pattern of activity, the decision was a no-brainer. It’s days like this that remind you: the fish don’t wait, and neither should we.

· Learn what learn can.
· Plan “A” mid-lake catch start of rising tide.
· Plan “B” got back to BIG girl locker room.
· Plan “C” fish west side of trestles from mile marker 174 north for 2 blocks, troll back & forth.
· Find a spot # with the seven fundamentals / criteria of catching:
1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (A lot more wind then predicted, but it was still manageable, me getting that warm fuzzy feeling fishing in high wind days with Bay Flat Jr, just need to take our time
2 MOVING WATER: (Perfect today, end of falling, slack, started to rise, do not get any better.)
3 WATER CALRITY: (4 plus , a little sandier looking today)
4 HOLDING FISH: (BIG girls locker room, and wet side of trestles.)
5 PATIENCES: (In mid-lake 7:08, move to Big Girl locker room first fish at 7:50, action steady after that.)
6 SKILL: (Lake P Troll technique, boat speed, boat position (angle to bridge, line distance out, & pressure on rig)
7 LUCKS: (We lasted 4 hours then called it a day; we left when they just started to bite good.)

AREAS / SPOTS / NUMBERS ON THE MAP FISHED:

OUR REWARDS:
· Lived too fish another day.
· (26) Silverwonders, 16 Miniwonders
· (4) Flounders
· (2) clams
· (6) Pilings, lost 2 Lake P Troll rigs
· Best peanut butter & jelly sandwich in the world, thanks to petite Gloria for making them for us.
· Being on eh water with one of the best fisherpersons me know, that be Big Ron.
· (3) fishing trip Days in a row, at around, (as the marathon runners say, Loveofthepack has (37) under her belt) me hit the wall, had to call it , (10:15 AM) me body was shutting down, and me think Big Ron too was glad to call it a day.
· Lessons learned:
§ Endurance is another trait you lose as you age, found me limits today at present age.
§ The person predicting wind direction & mph needs to find another job, wind almost blew us off the water again.
§ New reel handling all that mother nature wants to throw at it, we had (2) BIG NMR’s dancing in the box dance, no problem making into the boat and into the box, me liking me new reel.
o Will have I at Team Jo-Jo Saturday meeting for all to review.
§ Had plenty action along Hwy 11 bridge, later in day we trolled west side of trestles, mile marker 174 north, got into them good, but me got wore out and came in.
§ Having premade trailer rigs makes it a lot easier to reload a rig when you break off.
· Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Big Ron had a hot hand today, he be the fisherperson of the day!
SUGGESTIONS:
The best technique for Lake p Troll fishes the aide of the bridge and / or trestle with current pushing your lures / rig into pilings, which be where the BIG girls live for sure.
I like the west side of trestle with falling or rising tide, me dad taught that way .
PONDER OF THE DAY:
"Fishing is a quest for knowledge and wonder as much as a pursuit of fish; it is as much an acquaintance with Lake P Trollers, tight liners, and other fishermen as it is a challenge of Silverwonders."
Q&A:
Can your boat go slow enough to do Lake P troll successfully?
TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:
Friday, Team Jo-Jo meeting Saturday, and Easter Sunday, may have to be next week before me can get back on the water, until then:
Good Fishing
