Lake P, trestles, Lake P Troll vs. Silverwonders

TEAM JO-JO:

🎣 Fishing Report – Wednesday Wanderings with Big Rudy 🎣

First mate Big Rudy been out and about gallivanting down in Texas—missed our Saturday session (we’ll let it slide this time). He rolled back into town on Sunday, full of fajitas and fresh fishing fever, and said he was ready to hit the water.

We penciled on Tuesday for our grand return… but Big Rudy took one look at the sky and said, “Nope, not today—Mother Nature’s in a mood.” So we called an audible and moved it to today (Wednesday).

With rods in hand and optimism in our hearts, we launched Bay Flat Jr., pointed her towards the trestles, and deployed the always-reliable Lake P Troll technique—slow, low, and sneaky, just like how Big Rudy tiptoes past the honey-do list.

No Loons in sight, but we were hopeful the Silverwonders might still be lurking below. One thing’s for sure: if they were down there, we were dragging something tasty right past their noses.

Report to follow once we figure out who was more slippery—us or the fish.

1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (Wind not a factor perfects it be, kept us somewhat cool.

2 MOVING WATER: (Tail end of a falling tide, start of rising, don’t get any better, but it was supposed to be coming in in eh AM)

3 WATER CALRITY: (Still a little off, sandy looking I be)

4 HOLDING FISH:  (North of mile marker 174, boats dictated where we could troll)

5 PATIENCES: (05:21 rigs over side, 07:03 first strike missed it. 07:28 first Silverwonder, mini one it be, then the action started, crazy 3 minutes then it was we worked for them.)

·         (19) Silverwonders, 3 Miniwonders

·         Had 2 double kook ups.

·         (1) Croaker

·         (1) Sting Ray the first time we ever caught one doing Lake P Troll

·         Got my snickers bar, thank Rudy needed some energy today.

·         Got some sun, beating down on us, it felt good, felt the heat all the way through my clothes.

·         Being on the water with the best fisherperson me know that be Big Rudy

·         We tried the drone, but it does not want to fly today, Bi Rudy will figure out what went wrong, and we will have some areal shots for you soon.

·         Lessons learned:

§  Bites late today

§  Like always we took what area all the boats gave us to troll, south of mile marker 174 was occupied for sure.

§  Falling tide, it was supposed to be rising, did not start to rise until around 7:30

§  Had more boats then me expected, twenty plus?

§  Water clarity still a little off, sandy looking

·         Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.

FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:

Oneofthepack had the first strike & caught the first 2, lead the corker division, rock category , and lost rigs on trip, but it was no match for Big Rudy’s efforts, not me day for honors.

Big Rudy catching 2 at a time. Dominated Stingray division, caught the biggest Silverwonder, most Silverwonders, and he went back in shape / action and never missed a beat after his little vacation. Big Rudy fisherperson of the day.

SUGGESTIONS:

Strange bites late today, 7:28 was the stat of bites, bites did not last ling then we had to work for them one here and one there.

Me still suggest an early start, and fish your way into bites.

PONDER OF THE DAY:

When fishing follows your dreams it knows the way.

Q&A:

Who was the first person you went fishing with?

TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:

Big Tony tomorrow, Big Buddy Friday, Oneofthepack will need a rest after this week, until then:

Good Fishing
