Lake P Trestles Challenge

TEAM JO-JO:

Crew for today be a duo of Big Hugh & Big Mike, me know that Big Hugh be being very patients waiting fore the NMR’s to show up at trestles, and me was very interested in sharing our Like P Troll technique / presentation with that of Big Mike.

Texted Big Hugh, Lake P Saturday how you look, he be texted back Mike too, of course me texted back, had me crew and we all set to gather intel / info on trestles fishhg & catching.

SIGNS:

· Friday trip was very educational

· First mates today first class fisherpersons

· Up at 5:15 for a 6:15 meet up on Hwy 11 & old boat launch at foot of 5 mile bridge, need to establish our debarkation & landing zone for crew to board & depart Bay Flat Jr.

· We did not want to make that run from The Dock to trestles with (3) fisherperson in Bay Flat Jr, this was a very good decision ,as on the way back me & Bay Flat Jr was in a heavy chop.

· Off to FB to star our fund day of fishing & catching

· See what’s what at Big Buddy’s favorite five mile reef, and if the Silverwonders wanted to come out and play.

· Find a spot # with the seven fundamentals / criteria of catching:

1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (Not an impact on our ability to fish & catch, however 2 ½ to 3 foot rollers hitting Bay Flat Jr with (30 fisherpersons aboard was exciting.)

2 MOVING WATER: (Felt we had a slack tide all morning, did start to fall just a little)

3 WATER CALRITY: (A 6 minus, clean, clear, just a little sandy, could see lures down 10-12 “not bad it be.)

4 HOLDING FISH: (Between FB 3 and 4, all fish caught in that are)

5 PATIENTS: (Trolling at 7 am, 7:14 am Big Hugh brought in first NMR o the day, slow after that)

7 LUCK: (Got trip in before rain & bad weather, Bay Flat Jr can handle (3) in boat)

· Tandem rig, ¼ oz. round H&H jig head with gold hook, matched up with Matrix Shad Lemon Drop …..All fish caught wth this rig, trout hit ¾ oz. jig with Matrix Shad Leomn drop on it.

AREAS / SPOTS / NUMBERS ON THE MAP FISHED:

Lake P trestles, FB2 out to FB 5, trolled it back and forth (3) times, FB3 to FB 4 hot spot

OUR REWARDS:

· Lived to fish another day

· (2) NMR’s Silverwonders

· (1) Flounder

· (17) hang ups, pilings & bottom, only lost (4) Lake P trolling rigs, managed to free up hang ups

· Line with sinker & trouble hook on it

· (1) rock covered with barnacles

· Crew brought some great fried chicken. thanks crew me needed that

· Beautiful sun rise

· Lots of fresh, clean, cool air in our lungs

· Being on the water with 2 of the best fisherpersons me know, that be Big Hugh & Big Mike

· Lessons learned:

§ Fishing out of Bay Flat Jr, (BFJ) with (3) on board tough

§ (BFJ) can get up on plane with 3 in boat

§ Loons where out and about must have seen 8-10 up and down trestles from north shore out to bridge, they even be talking to one another, THIS BE A VERY GOOD SIGN, me excited to see them

§ Water clarity in Lake P a 6 minus, had a little; sandy look to it, but clean & clear, could see lure down 14;16”

§ NMR Silverwonders are in Lake P at trestles

· Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.

FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:

Oneofthepack got skunked, not even a hit, did managed to catch bottom (4) times and losing (2) trolling rigs, me had a good showing that’s all.

Big Mike dominated Flounder category, lead in catching bottom / pilings, and excelled in getting rigs back from hang ups, but in the end he did lose his rig too. Big Mike had a stellar performance but not enough for the honors today.

Big Hugh be the man, caught the only (2) Silverwodners caught today, brought the fired chicken, did his first mate duties with enthusiasm, i.e. Launching and picking up Bay Flat Jr, all in all he be fisherperson of the day for his efforts.

SUGGESTIONS:

Lake P Trestles have Loons along it, and they also have (NMR) Silverwonders in the areas around trestles, just go out and make it happen, it is about time for this to happen in a BIG way.

Nothing plan, have both Bay Flat Sr & Jr back on line, so have many fishing / catching options to choose from, all me need to do Is match them with the right first mate and make a go of it, and make it happen, until then:
