TEAM JO-JO:
Oneofthepack Tuesday Report – Special Guest: Big Tony of Northshore CCA
Still working his way through the sign-up list offered at Team Jo-Jo’s Fishing Curriculum Session 6 of 2025 (last Saturday), Oneofthepack checked off another eager participant today. Joining the crew aboard Bay Flat Jr was none other than Big Tony, representing the Northshore CCA chapter.
Big Tony had expressed a strong interest in jumping aboard for a firsthand look at the Lake P Troll technique/presentation — a signature Team Jo-Jo approach. With rods ready and spirits high, the mission was to hit the Lake Pontchartrain trestles and let Big Tony experience the method in action, all with the goal of sharing credible field intel with his Northshore CCA crew.
Stay tuned for details on the adventure — fish count, water clarity, wind conditions, and whether Silverwonders showed up to the party…

· (1) Ball of lead core line, including a Rattle trap
· (4) Pilings, (3) Lost Lake P Troll rigs
· Being on the water with one of the best fisherpersons me know, and that be Big Tony.
· Lessons learned:
§ Hard to find a place to troll,20-25 boats between north draw bridge to 1 block before Mile marker 174, not enough space to start / end a troll.
§ Found a small section (1/2 block) open between 2 boats , told Big Tony we will have to drop Lake P Troll gigs down fast & long quickly to do a short troll. Our first past Big Tony hooked up on a NMR Silverwonder, second pass hooked upon a 16” plus NMR, I lost at boat, third pass hooked up on a 15” NMR, I got her in the boat, fourth pass hooked up on a pair of 16” plus NMR Silverwonders, got them both in Bay Flat Jr, fifth pass nothing, and that was it, crazy 10 minutes. We then trolled all over nothing, called it a day around 9:45 AM.
§ Bites late once again
§ Hwy 11 bridge holding a few fish.
· Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
