TEAM JO-JO:
🎣 Team Jo-Jo Fishing Curriculum Sparks Monday Mission 🚤
At our Team Jo-Jo Fishing Curriculum Session this past Saturday, the fishing spirit was running high. After soaking up all the tips, tales, and techniques shared among our growing crew, Big Rudy and Oneofthepack couldn’t resist the pull of the water—plans were quickly hatched for a Monday mission.
With the Lake Pontchartrain trestles whispering our names, we agreed it was time to bring back our trusted Lake P Roll technique/presentation and find out if the elusive Silverwonders were still patrolling the pilings and willing to tango with our lures.
But this trip carried a bit of a bittersweet note.
We were down one of our beloved Three Amigos, as Big Ron (aka Indian Ron) has returned to India for the summer season, smartly dodging the sticky, steamy New Orleans summer we all know too well. His presence will be missed on deck, but we know he’ll be watching for our catch reports and cheering from afar.
With the boat ready, rods rigged, and the sunrise calling—two Amigos set out, but we carried the spirit of the third with us on the water.
Stay tuned... report to follow once we find out if the Silverwonders are still in the mood to dance! 🐟✨

· Lessons learned:
§ We in honey hole at 6:30 had 3-4 fish, tide falling, started to show signs of coming in around 7:50, flipped switch and they turned on. Based on early morning action you would think there was not a fish in Lake P, but after 7:0 it paid off.
§ BIG NMR’s have left the area, not as many as before.
§ Highway 11 bridge action way off
§ Water clarity a little off, stained looking, looked like fresh water.
§ Silverwonders moved over to the west side of trestles, one FB south of mile maker 174, and 1 mile north of mile marker 174 on west side of trestle was the hot spot.
§ Bay Flat Jr can handle 3–4-foot rollers.
§ Bilge pump still has no work, took water over the bow a couple times, this not good.
· Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
Good Fishing
