Lake P follow up

TEAM JO-JO:

Back at It – A Solo Mission? Not Today!

After Sunday’s trip, Oneofthepack felt the itch for a repeat performance. The Silverwonders were still out there, and me wasn’t about to let them swim free without another go at ‘em.

Step 1: Call in the crew.Step 2: Lock in the plan.Step 3: Catch ‘em up!

First mate Big Rudy was out, so time for Plan B. A quick text to Big Ron (aka Indian Ron)“You in?”

💬 Response: “Yessum!”

Even better—he had a first mate lined up, and we were all set for an early morning assault on Lake P.

🎯 Target: Silverwonders🎣 Tactic: Lake P Troll💨 Forecast: A whole lotta action (hopefully!)

Time to launch Bay Flat Jr, let the Loons point the way, and see if we can make some memories on the water. Stay tuned…

·      Find a spot  # with the seven fundamentals / criteria of catching:

1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (Not a factor, it was perfect)

2 MOVING WATER: (Falling tide looking good)

3 WATER CALRITY: (Once again this be our challenge for the day, along with weather, water clarity a 2 minus, not looking good, but fish di not seem to mind)

4 HOLDING FISH:  (Hwy 11 bridge)

5 PATIENCES: (Needed some, but it was a challenge trying to balance catching with on coming weather, weather won out we came in at 8 AM)

6 SKILL: (Lake P Troll technique /presentation)

7 LUCKS: (Did not get wet, caught one, ready for another trip soon)

AREAS / SPOTS / NUMBERS ON THE MAP FISHED:

Hwy 11 bridge came in early rain was coming our way.

OUR REWARDS:

·      Lived to fish another day.

·      (1) NMR Silverwonder

·      (11) hang ups, did not lose one rig, falling tide had us dancing with pilings, you have to play Russin Roulette with them cause hat be where the big girls hide & live.

·      Got a call from Big Rudy, seems bad weather 30 minutes away from us, made one more drift caught one, asked Big Ron what he wanted to do, he says u they captain, well captain made the call lets go in and live to fish another day.

·      Don’t mind rain, or wind, but thundering & lighting another condition me don’t like challenging and/ or dealing with.

·      Being on the water with one of the best fisherpersons me know is Big Ron

·      Lessons learned:

§  Sometimes, “You don’t got to go to know”

§  Big Girls Still Out there

§  The water is still dirty, but getting better

§  Weather coming from the S.W., wind stayed out of the S.E the whole morning

§  Quick trip on water 7 AM stopped fishing at 8:00 AM

·      Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.

FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:

SUGGESTIONS:

Make a stop at Gus’s on Hwy 433, get your Lake P Trolling rig components, he has a great selection of all. Ask Gus to show you our Lake P Troll  sample rig he has behind the counter.

Caution!!!!!:

Ramp that is blocked off at The Pointe, seems it is shallower on that side, plus with real low tide, they had a trailer or two go pass end and axel dropped off end, making it had to pick up boat. Watch how far back you go!!!!!

PONDER OF THE DAY:

"Put backing on your line, even if you never use it. It helps you dream."

Q&A:

Can you list five red flags that you look out for when meeting new fisherpersons or potential fishing partners?

 Fishes win today!!!!!

TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:

Off water Tuesday, but have a crew for Wednesday, word is water coming back up, so we be going to Delacroix to see how high up it came.

Good Fishing
