Lake P challenge!!!!

Team Jo-Jo,

We received a text from Big Ronnie, who is spending his summer in Indiana, with an attached video showing Chas catching Silverwonders along the trestles. Big Rudy also reported seeing another fisherperson catching some Silverwonders along the trestles.

Big Rudy, having been off the water for a while and heading out of town next week, texted me to say he planned, (Friday AM)  to give the Lake P trestles a try. He wanted to see if the posts and videos were accurate and asked if I wanted to join him. I texted back, declining as I had a doctor's appointment today, Friday.

While heading into town to the VA, I crossed the Hwy 11 bridge and saw one boat on the lake. I texted Big Rudy, mentioning that I saw one boat and asked if it was him.

Big Rudy called around 9 AM, saying he was not out there and was on his way home already due to the heat. He reported the following:

  • Water temperature: 84.9°F

  • No wind

  • Northshore side water clarity: 3+, stained and cloudy with visibility a 3+

  • Southshore side water clarity: 5+, a little sandy but you could see the lure down 14-16 inches.

  • Not much action

  • No Silverwonders

  • Caught two flounders.

  • Sunny and hot!

  • Came in early.

After we hung up, Big Rudy called back, and we discussed how useful it would be for posters of fishing reports, videos, pictures, and other intel to indicate the actual date of the action. Having the date information would help readers coordinate their trip planning more effectively.

Good Fishing,

Team Jo-Jo & Oneofthepack
