TEAM JO-JO:
Once again, I had no immediate plans or desires to go fishing, but on Wednesday afternoon, I received a text from Big Vienne, (Granddaughterofthepack). She asked if we could go fishing on Thursday or Friday. We had been trying to coordinate a trip for a few months, but Vienne’s schedule and mine had been at odds for a while.
I texted her back, saying we could go on Thursday, (6-27-24). Her enthusiastic response, "Yessum," confirmed our plans. With Vienne as my first mate, we were ready to set off. I tried to recruit another crew member to join us, but all my regular mates had other commitments.
Despite that, Vienne and I agreed to go, just the two of us. Then, we had another pleasant surprise. Big Allison, one of Vienne’s best friends, decided to join us, making our crew complete. With the trio set, it promised to be a fantastic outing. The prospect of spending quality time on the water with Vienne and her friend Allison was exciting.
As we prepared for the trip, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation. It had been a while since we managed to get our schedules aligned, and now, with Allison joining, it added an extra layer of excitement. There’s something special about sharing the love of fishing with the younger generation and watching them enjoy the thrill of the catch.
Here's to hoping for a day filled with good weather, calm waters, and plenty of Silverwonders and Redwarriors. If you need any tips or advice for the trip, like the best fishing spots or techniques to use, just let me know. Have a fantastic time out there!

2 MOVING WATER: (Had plenty of moving water, lost of current lines to fish)
3 WATER CALRITY: (This be our top challenge for today, at best it was a 2 minus on a scale of 1-7, same, same all over)
4 HOLDING FISH: (Team Jo-Jo Spot 14, & 21, all be it catfish)
5 PATIENTS: (None needed Petite Allison first on board with a Hardhead, second cast, it was a slow day, but we managed to have some action as we moved around to try and find a honey hole of catfish)
6 SKILL: (Dead shrimp on a jig head, feeling bite with all that wind)

· Lessons learned:
§ You got to go to know.
§ My main concern about the trip, what would the ladies do if something happened to me, (i.e., fall, pass out, etc.) how would they get back in.
o 1 Cannot operate motor.
o 2 have no idea where they be at
o 3 Would panic.
o Going to have to come up w/game plan for them to do on this issue.
§ West wind not good wind for catching.
§ Hard west wind, hard falling tide = very dirty water
§ Me (2) lady crew can catch fish.
§ Me crew was handing the voice activate power poles like then been doing all their Life.
§ Lionel’s has live croakers, perfect size they be.
§ Lionel’s had (2) tanks of live shrimp.
Me crew really liked the rough ride across Little Lake, back & forth, they be on bow enjoying the ride.
· Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Oneofthepack managed to put (5) CF in boat, me had other duties too, baiting hooks, casting out all rods, removing catfish and other species of fish for crew. Oneofthepack fell way short for the honors today.
Petite Vienne was a little slow getting out of the gate, she & me were down 4 to 0 before Petie Vienne caught her first fish, but when we at spot # 2A, she got on a roll, and closed the gap. Petite Vienne also had Sting Ray, croaker, and biggest catfish of the day to her credit, but could no capture the honors today.
Petite Allison a natural, first fish of the day, croaker, hardheads, gaff tops, freshwater cats, sticks, grass, she caught them all, but she too could no capture honors today.
Today’s journey resulted in a 2-way tie, we must do it all over again to see who gets Team Jo-Jo trophy for fisherperson of the day,
SUGGESTIONS:
“You got to go to know” was never more evident than today’s trip, pouring done raining at house, but beautiful & perfect down in our Disney World known as Delacroix Island.
“You got to go to know”
PONDER OF THE DAY:
Today is a new fishing day. Even if you were wrong yesterday, you can get it right today.
Q&A:
What is your catching language?
TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:
Nothing planned, possibilities July 7th, 16th, and all days that end in day, but July a challenging month for me when it comes to catching, but like mention before “You got to go to know”, until then:
Good Fishing
