Glad to hear some solid news finally trickling in on the Slidell Fishing Pier—here’s a quick summary for the crew:

• Bid Process: Scheduled for August/September 2025

• Projected to be no fee

• Design Adjustments:

  • New ramp will go over the rocks – no more scrambling or risk of slips!

  • Fortified construction – built to last and handle the weather

• Access: Open 24/7

• Projected Completion: Late 2026

That’s great news for shore-bound anglers and night fishers alike. The 24/7 access will be a game changer for seasonal runs, especially under the moonlight and pier lights.
