TEAM JO-JO:
First mate today and Oneofthepack have been trying to hook up for months, our first try we got canceled because of weather. Today we had another trip planned, but once again the weather predictions were not good.
But this time Oneofthepack made the call we go tells me, so Big Rick, (This be the first time Big Rick and I ever fished together) sucked it up and we made our trip , (Thursday) as planned down to our Disney World known as Delacroix Island aboard the Bay Flat Sr.
SIGNS:
· Good night sleep
· Up at 3:45 AM for our 5 AM meet up at Waffle House in Chalmette
· No Wildlife sightings along Hwy 11 or 90

· It was all about teamwork had Bay Flat Sr loaded in no time
· Yamaha Dream Machine was still warm for last trip she be all fired up and ready to go.
· Passed on Lionel had all we needed aboard a boat for a fun day of fishing.
· Now the hard part of our trip decision time where to go, did not want to make wrong decisions with Big Rick on board. Me main concerns water clarity, me knew Team Jo-Jo spot # 21 was not looking good, so decided to head to Team Jo-Jo spot # R& to try our luck & skill.

· Bring home some fishes for Big Rick & Petiet Carol
· Find a spot # with the seven fundamentals / criteria of catching:
1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (Wind was a challenge but we tamed it by using it to push us across bays while we popped our popping corks across them too. This one spot was perfect, directly behind us, and that spot was holding Silverwonders too.)
2 MOVING WATER: (Slack at first but then started to fall. Did not take long for it to pick speed, looked like tide was going to drain Delacroix of all water.)
3 WATER CALRITY: (Clarity in spot # R7 a 4-minus looking good, spot 51K was a 3 minus, but both spots produced some Silverwonders.)
4 HOLDING FISH: (Spots # R7A, & 51K)
5 PATIENCES: (In honey hole at 6:45, first trout by 6:51, took a while to find them but we had our crazy 15 minutes at spot # R7A.)
6 SKILL: (Popping corks technique / presentations.)
7 LUCKS: (Weatherman predictions was a little off, we got a good 6 hours of fishing before rain ran us in, but did not get that wet.)

FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Big Rick caught first Silverwonder to get us started, but then me got on a run of them coming in the Bay Flat Sr. Me asked Big Rick to show me his rods & reels, he not rigged up correct, so me gave him some jig heads and some Slat Strong Power Prawns, and explain to him how to rig them, then he was on, on, on with that rig. Me would have to say Big Rick be fisherperson of the day for sure.
Oneofthepack was just Oneofthepack, having fun and enjoying trip and help get Big Rick to love Delacroix like Team Jo-Jo does.
SUGGESTIONS:
We have noticed that jig head eight plays a very important role when fishing popping corks, me favorite is 1/8 oz. jig heads, but sometimes it will take 1 /4 oz. and / or even a 3/8 oz. jig head at times. So if you not getting any action with popping corks, you might want to change to a different size jig head to improve your catching.
Big Ronnie likes to fish a tandem rig with popping cork, me never would have believed it work, but he had a lot of success with that rig too.
PONDER OF THE DAY:
“The art of fishing is to know how to enjoy a little and to endure very much.”
Q&A:
Why did the fish live at the bottom of the ocean? Because they dropped out of school!
TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:
Next 12-12-24 with Perchwhisper, Big Captina Don, not sure yet where we area we will be fishing out of, and / or what boat, but we will be on water for sure, until hen:
Good Fishing
