Thursday a bust day with lots of twist and turns, Ins & outs, comments as follows:
· Early morning doctor appointment
· Big Ronnie & Big Rudy plan to assault Bayou Bienvenue in early AM
· Got a phone message from Cypress Cove Bat Flat Sr ready to be picked up, call us when you ready
· Got texted from Big Rudy Big Ronnie had to cancel out, (he under weather) Big Rudy say if you need help to get Bay Flat Sr back to Delacroix I will be glad to go and help out, plus me have a few things to do to camper trailer down in Delacroix
· Got a test from Big Ronnie letting me know ath he cancelled out with Big Rudy, and if I wanted could call and make a trip with Big Rudy
· Got out of doctor office at VA
· Texted Big Rudy me on way home you can leave at any time to me up at our house
· He texted back on me way
· Made it home changed clothes, Big Rudy right behind me
· Loaded up some tools, (they told me I had a 1 /78” ball and needed a 2 “ ball for Bay Flat Sr) and we on our way to pick up Bay Flat Sr
· Arrived at Cypress Cove, me already gad a 2” ball
· Went inside went over invoice , ($1,555.00 knew Loveofthepack would love this one) and all that was done to the Yamaha Dream Machine
· Check water level gauge it sitting at 4 foot, was concern would not have enough water to get Bay Flat Sr into slip
· We decide to eat on way back
· As we made it to the canal at junction, me knew me was going to have a problem with water level
· Reached the home of the Bay Flat Sr had very little water in slip, more mud than water
· Mad it to Lionel’s prepped Bay Flat Sr to launch her, as Big Rudy backing down me give him the holdup sign, the ramp in (3) pies wide, one all the way to left broken apart.
· Decided to play it safe and go to Sweetwater to launch
· Big Rudy continues on to his trailer to work on camper
· Me traveling down main bayou to slip, got ¾ of the way and Yamaha Dream Machine shuts down in a bad way, could not get it stated, this not good, no paddle, no trolling motor.
· Me start to investigate, then be when me notice that me have an external fuel filer, which hook up to (2) 12 gallons tanks, Cypress Cove change external fuel tank in process they closed both valves to each tank, that be when me notice fuel bulb completely collapse, now me know what problem be, open one valve took a while to get Yamaha Dream Machine start again, made it to slip.
· When me reach slip, gun it to drive into slip and make it past the mud, got half way, had to lower slings down to mud bottom, pulled it forward got about a foot, but still 3-4 feet from dock.
· Raised the Bay Flat Sr back up, waited for Big Rudy to show up with trailer, we parked trailer, and left it there
· Back FORD transporter up to dock, took (2) towing belts out, hooked one to Bay Flat Sr the other to FORD transporter, gave Big Rudy the high sign asked that he not jerk it, just go slow, Bay Flat Sr moved a little, gave him the high sign again this time little more power, Bay Flat Sr slides under dock, this not good, now out to get her back some to be able to lift her.
· Big Rudy and me jump on bow, and lean into it and back her up enough for me to pick her up with the slings and get her out of the water
· On way home we made a stop at Penny’s Café, it be all you can eat fried chicken day, which we both needed in a BIG way
· Made it home lot of me mind, glad to have Bay Flat Sr back where he belong, as soon as water come up we will be back there fishing soon
Long story / long day
