TEAM JO-JO:
Team Jo-Jo had everything lined up for a big Sunday fishing trip, with first mate Big Rudy, second mate Big Barrett, and, of course, Oneofthepack ready to go. But the weather had other plans. The forecast didn’t look too promising, and a strong gut feeling was saying, "Don’t go." Listening to that instinct, we made the call to cancel. Even though it was the right decision, it hit hard—we were all feeling the need to get out on the water, big time.
As anyone who’s passionate about fishing knows, there’s no cure for that craving except a solid trip. The fishing withdrawal symptoms were real, and we needed our “fix” bad. Sitting around wasn’t an option, so we regrouped and shifted our focus to Monday, aiming our sights on our own version of Disney World: Delacroix Island. This spot is more than just a fishing destination—it’s the ultimate playground for us, full of favorite spots, hidden channels, and memories of Silverwonders and Redwarriors caught in the past.
With everyone onboard, the excitement was back on, and Monday couldn't come soon enough. We’ll be ready with our best lures, tight lines, and Team Jo-Jo’s never-failing enthusiasm. Delacroix, here we come!

1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (This criterion was definitely a challenge, but in spot # 51K it was perfect directly at our back, used (2) Cajun anchors to get the agnel we here looking for, [perfect it be.)
2 MOVING WATER: (Fell all morning, had some current lines to fish)
3 WATER CALRITY: (Minus 4, could see lures down 4-5” not bad)
4 HOLDING FISH: (Team Jo-Jo spot # 51K, all fish caught right there)
5 PATIENCES: (Had to make a move, but after that it was On, ON, ON, & ON, no patients needed as we had a crazy (15) plus minutes, we done by 8:04 AM.)
6 SKILL: (Popping cork, with some tight-line action and even the Top Dog produced one)
7 LUCKS: (Me noticing birds flying off in a distance, once we make our way over to them it On, On, On, & On, moved about 2 blocks and it was On again. Did run around for a bit looking for reds, but high water & high winds made it difficult for us to move around that much, called it a day at 9:30 AM)

§ It was cloudy, windy, raining, just a nasty day, but we needed our fix, off we go.
§ Top Dog , me be Top Dogging, caught one (NMR) Silverwonder on it, so it works down in Delacroix too.
§ Birds led the way for us today, follow birds.
§ Popping cork still the technique / presentation need3ed for today
§ Tight line caught a few.
§ Power Prawn lures did the trick, caught 92% of all fish.
· Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Big Barrett had (3) bait casters rig, having trouble with wind and corks, so he mostly tight line, caught a few but was not on, on, on as much, hope he brings one spinning reel rig next time. He never gave up, but he feels a little short for honors today.
Oneofthepack was on, on, on, & on, me was keeping up with Big Rudy’s productivity, however when he moved over into overdrive, it was like me be standing still, did manage my share of the Silverwonders, even caught a biggin or two, but me efforts fell short for honors today.
Big Rudy dominated the Redwarrior, & at fish category, he managed to almost dominate the (NMR) Silverwonders & Miniwonders, he was on, on, on, & on. Big Rudy be fisherperson of the day for sure, but we will have to see about it next time.
SUGGESTIONS:
Based on weather predictions, and actual conditions, (i.e. rain, wind, tide, nasty weather) we should have cancelled out, but our motto “You got to go to know” and this attitude has produced a many of excellent trips for us, of course there where a few where it might have better to stay home, but today was not one of those day.
Today was, is and always has been me type of day to fish for a few reasons.
§ Sun not beating you up
§ Overcast nasty day
§ Not many boats, fare weather fisherpersons staying home
§ Fish seem to bite much better
PONDER OF THE DAY:
“Catching is getting what you want; happiness is wanting what you catch.”
Q&A:
What did the fish say when he hit a concrete wall?
