TEAM JO-JO:
Crew Roster – Friday, June 27th, 2025, Fishing Trip
Today’s crew was a classic blend of Team Jo-Jo veterans and returning Louisiana blood:
Captain: Oneofthepack, leading the charge aboard the Bay Flat Sr — always ready to turn a good day into a great one on the water.
First Mate: Big Rudy, loyal deckhand and seasoned Silverwonder hunter, whose instincts on tide, water clarity, and bait presentation remain razor sharp.
Guest Angler: Big Bud, a proud Chalmatian by birth, now residing in Tennessee after the life-altering winds of Hurricane Katrina sent him north. While his zip code may have changed, his heart — and appetite — remain firmly rooted in the bayous and bays of Southeast Louisiana.
Mission Overview:
Big Bud, back in town to visit his dad and catch up with family, was dead set on squeezing every drop of Louisiana out of this trip — including a cooler full of fish and a seafood bounty to haul back to the Volunteer State. His list included:
✅ Enough filets of Silverwonders or Redwarriors to keep the grill hot in Tennessee
✅ Fresh shrimp straight from local docks
✅ A few dozen crabs, preferably big and fat for backyard boils
✅ And if Lady Luck smiled, a sack or two of oysters for raw bar memories back home
His aim: to give his Tennessee friends and neighbors a taste of what true coastal living is all about — "straight from da Boot".
Expectations:
With a dream team on board and Big Bud’s coolers empty but hopeful, spirits were high. Conditions looked promising, and the crew had a short list of go-to Team Jo-Jo spots to check, depending on water clarity, wind, and tide flow.
Big Rudy’s experience would be crucial in reading the signs — bait movement, bird activity, water color — while Big Bud brought the enthusiasm and hunger of someone who’s been landlocked too long.
If the fish cooperate, today could turn into one of those unforgettable “welcome back to the bayou” stories, complete with laughter, filets flying, and Big Bud texting photos from I-59 with coolers full and a grin that only a Chalmatian in his element could wear.🎣🦀🦐

Oneofthepack had 1 Silverwonders a pair double hook up of 15” Redwarriors, not enough for today.
Big Rudy struggled, the first time me ever saw this, caught a few.
Big Buddy had (2) double hook ups of Silverwonders, dominated croakers, and even had the catfish division in hand, Big Buddy be fisherperson the day.
SUGGESTIONS:
Silverwonders and Redwarriors still our and about, just need to be in right spot at right time, and believe.
PONDER OF THE DAY:
"A father is someone who can teach his son how to catch a fish but also knows how to let him loose." -
Q&A:
Do you prefer fishing / catching exercising by yourself or through group activities?
TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:
Nothing planned, rest for a couple days, much needed, sun beast me up to no end, until then:
Good Fishing
