TEAM JO-JO:
Oneofthepack and first mate Big Rudy had our Thursday trip all planned out, eager to get on the water and into action. We tried to recruit a second mate, but luck wasn’t on our side in that department. No matter—we had a solid plan and were ready to embark on our latest fishing adventure.
Our destination, of course, was none other than our version of "Disney World"—Delacroix Island. For us, it’s not just another fishing spot; it’s a magical place where we’ve spent countless hours chasing the elusive Silverwonders and Redwarriors. With over 120 spots on Team Jo-Jo’s map of Delacroix, we knew we’d find what we were looking for. It was just a matter of time and patience.
Plan “A” was straightforward but strategic: start by targeting the Redwarriors at spot #21. Our goal? To reel in our limit of 8 Redwarriors early on and then move on to the Silverwonders later in the day. Spot #21 has been a reliable producer in the past, and we were confident that it would deliver again this time. The plan was to hit it hard, get the job done, and shift gears towards the Silverwonders—our ultimate prize.
Armed with this game plan, we set out with high hopes, ready to tackle the day and make the most of the conditions. Delacroix Island, with its maze of marshes and waterways, holds a special place in our hearts, and we were excited to explore a couple of Team Jo-Jo’s 120+ spots, knowing that every cast could be the one that makes the day.

o Water clarity
o Water depth
o Locate current lines
o Verify drop offs and channel edges
o Confirm rotes / paths are still good to run
§ Tight line technique not to productive
§ Popping cork technique seems to be the go-to rig for this time of year
§ Yamaha Dream Machine is just that, she ran like a newborn, go to love it.
· Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Big Rudy B, as usual he be on fire with his popping cork technique tipped with his stink bait. Oneofthepack was just Oneofthepack
SUGGESTIONS:
Popping corks seem to be the way to catch, tight lining not so productive, plus live shrimp may give you an edge when it comes to catching.
PONDER OF THE DAY:
“If you change the way you fish for fish, the fish you look at change
Q&A:
How many years will it take for fisherpersons to start living / fishing on the moon?
TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:
Big Rudy & Oneofthepack are set to make a trip to Lakeshore estate tomorrow , we will be top dogging our way around that area in search of the elusive Silverwonders.
Good Fishing
