· Find a spot # with the seven fundamentals / criteria of catching:
1 WIND AT YOUR BACK: (Light winds made it easy to cast & fish, wind not a factor on todays results.)
2 MOVING WATER: (Falling all day, stronger as day went along)
3 WATER CALRITY: (Lake John 2 minus, Grand Lagoon a 5 plus, did not seem to matter as it was a very sow action day today.)
4 HOLDING FISH: (Team Jo-Jo spot # 51K, & R7)
5 PATIENCES: (slow day needed plenty, but we had enough action o keep us interested to the end of trip)
6 SKILL: (Poppin cork technique / presentation
7 LUCKS: (Not running aground in fog)
· Oneofthepack’s repertoire of Techniques / presentations:
· Anchor up cast & retrieve slowly along the bottom, with a twitch every now and then, tight lining…………………………………(1) t
· Oak River Skim (ORS) ……………(8)t
· Cork ……..(19) t
· Oneofthepack ‘S repertOIRE of LURE DU JOUR:
· Fished many types & color lures today, me stayed with the Matrix Shad Lemon drop with 3/8 oz. head.
AREAS / SPOTS / NUMBERS ON THE MAP FISHED:
Team Jo-Jo spot 51M, 51K (2)t, 51J (1)t, R7 (12)t, R7-H (4)t, R7A (5)t, R7B, R7C, 51J, 51k (4)t, stopped fishing around 12:40
OUR REWARDS:
· Lived too fish another day.
· (28) Silverwonders, 17 Miniwonders
· (1) Popped line big fish, Big Ron had it for second or 5.
· Getting lost in fog, while running around in very skinny water.
· Great Peanut & Jelley sandwich, as prepared by petite Gloria, thanks lady me needed that.
· Being on the water with 2 of the best fisherpersons me know, they be Big Rudy & Big Ron, what a combination to be on a Silverwonders hunt with.
· Lessons learned:
§ Hate running around in fog more than running around at night.
§ Lake John water clarity a 2 minus, holding some fish, Grand Lagoon water clarity a 5 plus, holding fish. Clarity did not seem to matter as far as caching went. But action slows in both conditions.
§ The water level was still low, and it was pouring out all day.
§ Big Nicky , (Bay Flat St landlord) was out & about he caught 4
· Best fishing of my life, until the next one.
FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Oneofthepack caught 1st one, made the box, but it Was slow after that, me managed a total f 4 today, corks not me thing, me not even In mention for honors today.
Big Rudy be Big Rudy, took the lead and kept it going, caught a bunch, but it was a little short for today’s honors.
Big Ronnie slows out of the slip, but once we hit Grand Lagoon he was on, on, on trying different type lures, colors, size jig heads, tandem rigs, me think he used ever lure, technique / presentation in his inventory of same, as he popped his cork throughout the morning. Big Ronnie takes the honor today.
