Dad's day Delacroix way

Team Jo-Jo

Flash back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This picture, taken at the Oak River & North/South pipeline area in 2005, captures Big John, a dedicated co-worker from MCC, enjoying a day on the water fishing. Big John subscribes to the philosophy of "You got to go to know" and doesn't let any babysitting job stop him from getting out on the water.

I took this picture at Team Jo-Jo’s spot #21, which was a real hot spot back then. The Oak River Troll technique and presentation ruled the bites of the (NMR) BIG girls, and there were plenty of them to go around. The fishing was always phenomenal in this area, with each trip promising a good haul and exciting times.

In the picture, you can see the youngest one on Big John's back in a papoose, and his oldest playing around in the boat. Big John loves to fish, and his dedication is evident as he makes sure to include his kids in his adventures. It's a beautiful sight, a true testament to his commitment to both his family and his passion for fishing.

Years later, I had the pleasure of taking Big John, along with both boys, out on the water again when they were 4-5 years older. It was heartwarming to see how their love for fishing had grown. Dad and both boys were just as eager and enthusiastic about fishing and catching as they had been in those early days.

These trips weren't just about fishing; they were about bonding, creating lasting memories, and passing down a love for the sport from one generation to the next. Watching Big John with his boys, I could see the same excitement in their eyes that I saw in their dad's. It’s moments like these that highlight the true essence of fishing — it's not just about the catch, but about the shared experiences and the joy of being out on the water with loved ones.

Good Fishing,

Team Jo-Jo & Oneofthepack
