Captain T-doc leads the crew

Team Jo-Jo’s Latest Adventure:

Big T-Doc had a solid plan for Saturday's fishing trip, and as usual, Big Pablo was busy working the phones, calling down the list of first mates. Unfortunately, Big Rudy had other commitments, and Oneofthepack was still recovering from a cold. That left Big Ronnie as the last but perfect addition to complete the trio for the weekend's adventure. The crew knew Big Ronnie would step up and make sure the trip was as memorable as ever.

The team would set off aboard Big T-Doc’s 23-foot Sea Chaser, a boat well known for its smooth ride, spacious layout, and reliability. Powered by the Big Black Mercury, the Sea Chaser was ready to run through the marshes and waters of Delacroix Island—the crew’s beloved "Disney World" of fishing. With a boat designed to handle the open waters and marsh terrain alike, there was excitement in the air as the crew looked forward to exploring their favorite fishing spots.

As always, the plan was to hunt down the elusive Silverwonders and Redwarriors. With years of combined experience, the trio knew exactly where to go: the tried-and-true Team Jo-Jo fishing numbers that had produced success time and again. All the preparations were in place for a great day of fishing, and even though Oneofthepack couldn't join this time around, his influence on the trip was ever-present.

The Catch: The trip proved to be a productive one, with the team coming home with a mixed bag of fish for dinner:

  • (24) Silverwonders, including 12 Miniwonders

  • (7) Redwarriors

  • (1) Submarine—a big ol’ Drum, known for giving the crew a workout

  • A few catfish to round out the catch

Techniques / Strategy:

  • Live shrimp: Though tried, it didn’t produce much action that day.

  • Popping cork with Salt Strong Power Prawn lure: This setup did the heavy lifting and brought in most of the Silverwonders.

  • Tight lining: A few fish were caught this way as well, adding to the day’s tally.

Areas Fished:

  • Four Horse

  • Lake Campo

  • Bay La Fourche

  • Trusted Team Jo-Jo spots: #21, 6, 14, and 15 on the map

Conditions:

  • Wind: 15+ mph from the N.N.E., which made for some sporty conditions.

  • Water clarity: A decent 3+, good enough for spotting fish.

  • Chop: Light to heavy chop, depending on the area, but the Sea Chaser powered through with ease.

  •

Captain T-Doc led the crew on a whirlwind journey through Delacroix, working spot after spot, chasing down the Silverwonders and Redwarriors. In the end, the team came back with a diverse haul, ready to cook up a delicious meal from the day’s catch.

Good Fishing,

Team Jo-Jo & Oneofthepack
