· Lessons learned:
§ Catching line in motor a ending trip type of event
§ Trolling in same direction as tide is best for a lot of action
§ Nautide App is an accurate indicator of when bites will happenhttps://www.google.com/search?q=nautide+app&oq=Nautide&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBwgBEAAYgAQyCQgAEEUYORiABDIHCAEQABiABDIHCAIQABiABDIHCAMQABiABDIHCAQQABiABDIHCAUQABiABDIHCAYQABiABDIHCAcQABiABDIHCAgQABiABDIHCAkQABiABNIBCTExNTQ3ajBqN6gCALACAA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8Nest tide condition too fish
§ Navionics app, good for locating deep holes, navigation, routes & tracks, https://www.navionics.com/usa/apps/navionics-boating
§ Best tide condition to fish ICW, tail end of falling and start of a rising tide, of which we had today. We just left, (10:40) too early for the feed. A lot of boats came out just about the same time as we left.
§ Me going to have to ask, (first mates) the question “Do you smoke” prior to future trips, me just cannot handle smoking on the water, this item will be a deal breaker in future trips.
§ Mastering the balance between boat speed and the amount of line out is crucial for successful fishing using the Lake P Troll technique. Keeping your lure or rig just barely above the bottom, smoothly gliding along without making contact, is key. It's a delicate balance between catching fish and getting snagged. Once you've honed this skill, you'll see more action with fewer hang-ups, resulting in a more successful fishing experience.
· Best fishing trip of my life, until the next one.
FISHERPERSON OF THE DAY:
Big Roy a first at our Lake P Troll technique, did not take him long to get on the board. He dominated oyster’s categories, lead in hang ups, and gave us a trip ending hook up. Me caution him (3) times don’t let your line get caught in motor, I got this is not going to happen says he. Once we shifted over to shoreline side of ICW, me caught a nice Silverwonder quick, dropped down in came a flounder. As me trolling, hooking fish, reeling in, taken fish off, videoing it all, Big Roy gets hooked up, he be thinking it be a fish, (his best bite / fight of the day) but only motor makes that kind of run. Then he says the words me hate to hear, “I don’t know how that happen”. After we cut our way out of all main power pro line, squid trailers, trailer leaders, and ¾ oz. Jig head, says me, lest call it a day, me had enough and we came in at 10:40 AM. Me was a little more off center then me thought, best we come in a live to fish another day. And yes Big Roy not fisherperson of the day.
We going to have to have a repeat trip to see who fisherperson of the day be.
Oneofthepack be Oneofthepack!!!!
SUGGESTIONS:
Suggestions check Nautide App, learn how to sue there fish bite indicator, it seem to be very accurate try to concentrate and fish the times it shows.
Big girls still along ICW, just need to be in right place at right time.
PONDER OF THE DAY:
"If you want to catch more fish, use more hooks."
Q&A:
Is there a time limit on fishing predictions?
TEAM JO-JO’S future stratagem:
Nothing plan, off water Thursday & Friday, hope to be out and about Saturday, got a penciled in trip with Big Don me Sr. first mate, he be coming off IR, hope he and me can make it happen.
Good Fishing
